Suspensys inaugurates production unit dedicated to electromobility technologies

Investment puts the company in a new segment at Latin America

Suspensys, one of the global main manufacturers of axle systems and suspensions for commercial vehicles, inaugurates a new phase in its history of evolution and increasement. With the presence of authorities, Randon Companies’ leaders and partners, on April 12th we presented the production unit dedicated to electromobility technologies, settled in Suspensys’ headquarters, in Caxias do Sul.

Being a new enterprise in the electrified products for transport segment in Latin America, Suspensys E-Mobility is a structured company who inserted itself into another new segment: assembly and production of batteries. By its own projects, the unit can attend light and commercial vehicles, agricultural implements, besides other industrial applications, with lots of manufacturing possibilities and proper disposal of the components produced. The factory can receive all the structure needed for the e-Sys’ production, the innovative electric auxiliary traction system developed and commercialized by the company.

With a R$ 60 million investment, the new factory has high technology in production line, automatization in manufacturing process and special high security dispositives, like a fire prevention system that uses a basic salt-based substance instead of water in firefighting. The e-plant works in an area isolated from the rest of Suspensys’ headquarters, maintaining the lines of the other products in axles and suspensions of the company's portfolio. “By the way we structured this factory, we can attend to all types of clients, like automakers and vehicle manufacturers, including customized electronics projects and battery operation management”, explains the Randon Companies Suspensions and Electromobility Director, Eduardo Dalla Nora.

Another investment advantage is the agility of development projects time in relation to competition, for being a national factory with resources and own technology. “We are proud of this project, which is a 100% brazilian engineering realization, with national resources, both from the material point of view and from multidisciplinary teams of professionals involved”, highlights the superintendent-director from the Companies Randon auto vertical business, Ricardo Escoboza.

The inauguration concretizes the factory structuring, which was working in experimental steps since the second semester of 2022, with the beginning of e-Sys system’s fabrication and commercialization. In Suspensys E-Mobility there is also an area prepared for the installation of the auxiliary system in the road implements of the Randon Hybrid R model that leave the factory already with the component, and also for adaptation of implements and buses that receive the set after they are manufactured. As a signal of the acceptance of the market for the innovative technology, the company projects to accelerate e-Sys production, reaching four systems per day.
